I’m In a Fix! What Should I Do?

In our professional life we come across several situations when we have no idea of what should be done. You should know the root cause. Here is an example of what usually happen
Manager calls up sally to ask how far they have reached in the target (a recruitment firm). 

Shelly:  Sir I have no idea what is happening, but we are not able to do any hiring.

Manager: So how far have you reached in your target

Shelly: Sir it hasn’t even reached half of what we plan

Manager: What about the market situation, do you know why is it happening?

Shelly: Sir I have no idea what is going wrong in the market, we are just not able to get the hold of great candidates.

In the above conversation the right thing a manager should do now is to fire Shelly for not having the knowledge of market trends. The second thing he should do is fire himself for hiring her and not providing proper guidance and creating proper strategy in order to achieve target. Organizations which lack in constructing a great planning and strategy certainly suffer a big time on productivity. To achieve your targets and organizational goals you need to have a strong knit team, screening people out of the organization is not the ultimate solution. Many times we end up losing our jobs due to lack of planning, guidance, etc. 

In any ideal organization the working scenario is supposed to be this way; 


  • Setting an achievable target, you can’t get too rosy. So, try to be realistic

  • Formulate a strategy, after conducting a thorough research on market trends

  • Collect your team and prepare them to nail the target
